About the Role

The Forward Deployed Strategist (FDS) is Opmed's senior client leader for a portfolio of health system accounts. You hold end-to-end accountability for each relationship: diagnosing the client's most pressing operational challenges, shaping the solutions we deploy, quantifying the impact delivered, and identifying where Opmed can create further value.

You operate at the intersection of the client and Opmed's Sales, Product, Engineering, Strategy and Business Development functions. You partner closely with our delivery teams of product and engineering specialists, ensuring that what they build addresses the client's root problems and moves the metrics that matter to its leadership.

The role is neither a sales position nor a technical implementation role. It most closely resembles leading a consulting engagement, with one essential difference: you remain accountable for the outcome well beyond the final recommendation, through deployment, adoption and scale.

What you will do

  • Lead the client relationship. Serve as Opmed's single senior counterpart to each account. Build trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite executives, operational leaders and clinicians, and navigate complex, matrixed health system organizations to drive alignment and decisions.

  • Drive structured discovery. Design and lead on-site diagnostics and executive workshops. Map end-to-end workflows, isolate root causes, and frame the highest-value problems to solve.

  • Quantify the value at stake. Build rigorous business cases and ROI models that withstand CFO scrutiny, and track realized impact after deployment.

  • Set the transformation agenda. Translate diagnostic findings into a multi-year transformation roadmap for each account, and align priorities weekly with the delivery teams accountable for execution.

  • Shape the product from the field. Synthesize client insight into clear product and commercial implications for Product, Engineering and Data Science, and articulate the capabilities and limits of our AI to non-technical leadership.

  • Expand the partnership. Identify expansion opportunities across service lines and facilities, engage Sales and delivery early, and own renewal and expansion in partnership with Customer Success.

  • Bring an outside-in perspective. Track market and industry developments across your portfolio and the broader healthcare landscape, and bring commercial opportunities to Opmed's leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain or equivalent), including experience at Associate Partner, Engagement Manager or comparable level leading client engagements end to end.

  • Deep familiarity with healthcare provider operations, including perioperative services, capacity management, staffing and clinical workflows.

  • A demonstrated record of leading hypothesis-driven problem solving and executive workshops, and of converting findings into plans that clients adopt and execute.

  • Strong commercial judgment and financial fluency: the ability to build a value case, defend it before a CFO, and tie it to the client's strategic priorities.

  • Fluency with technology and AI-enabled products. Coding is not required, but you engage credibly with engineers and data scientists and translate between them and clinical leadership.

  • Exceptional executive presence, communication and listening skills, with a track record of building enduring relationships in complex organizations.

  • An entrepreneurial, high-ownership mindset suited to a scaling company, and the ability to travel approximately 40% to client sites across the U.S.

Nice to have

  • A consulting tenure concentrated in healthcare operations, provider strategy, or digital and AI transformation.

  • Experience introducing advanced analytics, AI or optimization solutions into health systems.

  • Working knowledge of hospital information systems such as Epic, Cerner, or perioperative and scheduling platforms.

  • Exposure to consultative selling, account growth or commercial strategy in healthcare SaaS.

  • Experience collaborating with global or Israel-based product and engineering teams.
