The Role
This isn't just a cold-calling seat. We're looking for a Super BDR — a strategic, signal-driven operator who functions as the human intelligence layer on top of a sophisticated, AI-powered outbound system. You'll work directly alongside our Sales Directors (individual contributors owning full enterprise cycles into hospitals and health systems) to ensure their pipelines stay full of high-quality, well-qualified meetings.
You'll monitor our automated email and LinkedIn outreach infrastructure, identify when prospects are engaging, and strike at exactly the right moment with exactly the right message — by phone, LinkedIn, or whatever medium converts. You'll also source contacts, craft persona-specific messaging, and own the handoff to the Sales Director team.
This role sits at the intersection of outbound intelligence, strategic messaging, and human conversion. If you're process-driven, curious about AI-powered sales tools, and energized by the challenge of breaking into complex hospital buying committees — this is your role.
What You'll Do
Contact Sourcing & Account Mapping
- Proactively source and build contact lists within target hospital and health system accounts, mapping the full perioperative buying committee — clinical leadership, surgical services, operations, IT, finance, and executive stakeholders
- Maintain clean, accurate data across CRM and outbound tooling
- Identify net-new accounts and contacts that fit the Opmed.ai ICP
Signal-Based Outreach & Pipeline Conversion
- Monitor our automated SDR infrastructure (email + LinkedIn) for engagement signals — opens, clicks, replies, profile views — and trigger timely, high-value follow-up
- Make strategic, well-timed calls to prospects who have shown intent rather than blindly dialing cold lists
- Convert warm prospect interactions into qualified, booked meetings for the Sales Director team
Multi-Persona Messaging & Engagement
- Write and refine outbound messaging tailored to each stakeholder type — a VP of Surgical Services needs a different message than a COO or CNO
- Engage with prospects on behalf of different internal personas as needed, maintaining voice consistency and strategic positioning
- Continuously test and iterate on messaging to improve reply and meeting conversion rates
Automated Infrastructure Oversight
- Own day-to-day monitoring of automated outreach sequences across email and LinkedIn
- Flag deliverability issues, optimize send cadences, and surface performance insights to sales and marketing leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally to refine targeting logic, sequence structure, and messaging strategy
Sales Director Enablement
- Act as a force multiplier for the IC team — keeping each Sales Director supplied with a consistent flow of qualified meetings
- Brief Sales Directors on prospect context, stakeholder history, and engagement signals before calls
- Maintain a tight feedback loop with the IC team to continuously sharpen qualification criteria and meeting quality
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of BDR, SDR, or outbound sales experience in B2B SaaS or healthcare technology
- Demonstrated ability to convert warm signals into booked meetings — you understand the difference between activity and outcomes
- Experience working with sales automation platforms (e.g., Salesloft, HayReach, Clay, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong written communication skills — you can write compelling, persona-specific outbound messaging that doesn't read like a template
- Comfortable making strategic, high-stakes phone calls — intentional about timing and approach, not just volume
- Strong familiarity with complex, multi-stakeholder buying environments — bonus if that's within hospitals, health systems, or the perioperative/OR space
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- Innovative, motivated, and detail-oriented team player who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
