Company Description
Opmed.ai enables health systems to radically improve how they deploy operating room time, staff, and clinical resources using advanced AI, network science, and data-driven decision frameworks. We work with leading health systems to move beyond incremental optimization and toward structurally different ways of operating—unlocking capacity, resilience, and measurable financial and clinical impact.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role with on-site travel time and the potential for future occasional in-office time. On site travel is important for regular collaboration with customer staff and operational leaders.
This role is designed for a senior, high-caliber transformation leader with deep experience driving complex operational change inside healthcare provider organizations.
You will work directly with C-suite executives, physician leaders, perioperative leadership, and operational teams to ensure Opmed’s recommendations are not only understood—but fully operationalized, embedded, and sustained. This role owns the last mile of transformation: translating analytics and recommendations into durable changes in governance, workflows, incentives, and decision-making.
This is not a passive advisory role—you are expected to push organizations to do things they have never done before, navigate resistance, align stakeholders with competing incentives, and ensure material outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Executive-Level Transformation Leadership
- Serve as a senior thought partner to hospital executives, physician leadership, and operational heads on perioperative and system-level transformation.
- Lead executive working sessions that translate Opmed insights into clear decisions, commitments, and accountability structures.

Operationalization & Change Management
- Own the end-to-end operationalization of Opmed recommendations, from analytical output through sustained behavior change.
- Design and guide new operating models, governance structures, and decision frameworks that enable organizations to act on insights at scale.
- Drive adoption of unfamiliar or disruptive practices, including changes to block governance, staffing models, incentive alignment, and performance management.
- Identify where organizational structure, culture, or incentives will block success—and intervene directly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Opmed product, data science, and implementation teams to ensure insights are framed, delivered, and sequenced for maximum impact.
- Translate client realities back into product and analytical evolution, improving how Opmed drives change across diverse health systems.
- Act as the connective tissue between analytics, operations, and executive decision-making.
Value Realization & Accountability
- Define success metrics tied to real operational and financial outcomes (e.g., increases to case volume, throughput, utilization, staffing efficiency, margin).
- Hold clients accountable for execution commitments while maintaining trusted-advisor relationships.
- Ensure Opmed’s work results in visible, defensible ROI that leadership can stand behind.
